Information You Submit
Search Entries
A name, location, or other term entered into a third-party search box is sent to the provider that operates the tool. Caldwell County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy rules govern its processing.
Messages You Send
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

How Information Is Used

Privacy Beyond This Site
Links may lead to Caldwell County Sheriff and detention resources, NCDAC searches, North Carolina court portals, release records, or commercial search services. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination’s own privacy notice and terms control.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing occurs through their systems, not a records database maintained by Caldwell County Released Inmates.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be processed or disclosed to the following parties when needed for their stated role:
- Search partners that receive a visitor’s query
- Analytics providers that measure site performance
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard administrative and technical practices intended to protect information. No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed secure in every circumstance. This notice does not promise that a breach or unauthorized access can never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request its deletion.

Subject to applicable law and the limits of the data we hold, a visitor may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal information held about that visitor
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal information when retention is not required
- Stop certain processing where an opt-out right applies
